This site is an unofficial, non-commercial project — independently developed and maintained, with no affiliation to Nexon. All game assets are the property of Nexon Korea / Nexon America. This site is used solely for fashion reference purposes.

Why This Exists

Players have long used tools like BannedStory and MapleStory: Design to try on outfits and get inspiration from other players' looks. When those tools stopped being maintained, there was no good platform left for directly referencing community outfits — usually you had to search through various social media groups.

Maple Fashion Story aims to recreate that experience with modern web technology. You can freely try on fashion items, save your outfits, share them with others, and browse community designs — keeping the fashion culture alive in a new form.

FAQ

Q. Is this made by Nexon or an official company?

No. Maple Fashion Story is an unofficial personal project with no affiliation to Nexon. All game assets are the property of Nexon Korea / Nexon America. This site is used solely for non-commercial fashion reference.

Q. Why can't I find some items?

Item data comes frommaplestory.io, which primarily covers GMS items. Some items may not be listed due to API coverage or field issues. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Q. The preview / icons look different from the game?

Character renders and item thumbnails come frommaplestory.io. There are a few known API limitations:

Face thumbnails in the picker may look slightly different from what the character actually shows — the thumbnail and the character render use different frames of the same face.
Some item thumbnails show "?" because maplestory.io doesn't have an image for that item yet. The item can still be equipped; the preview image is just temporarily unavailable.
The list of poses and expressions is not as complete as in-game, because maplestory.io currently only provides a partial list.

In the future, we may parse the game's WZ files directly and build our own renderer to fill in the gaps, but this is a large undertaking and unlikely to happen soon.

Q. How many outfits can I save?

Each user can save up to 20 outfits. You'll need to delete old ones before saving new ones. This limit may be adjusted later.

Q. How do I make my outfit visible to others?

Go to "My Wardrobe" and toggle the "Public" switch on your outfit. Once public, it will appear on the Explore page and in the trending / newest sections on the homepage.

Q. Why is Discord the only sign-in option?

For simplicity — no need to remember a password or verify email, and most MapleStory players already have Discord. More sign-in options may be added in the future.

Q. Can I download the character image?

Yes. The simulator has a download button below the character preview area.

Q. How do I delete my account?

Go to the "My Wardrobe" page and click the "Delete Account" button below your profile card. This will immediately delete your account, all saved outfits (public and private), and all like history.This data cannot be recovered. Please proceed with caution.

Description: What happened, what you expected, and what actually occurred
Steps to reproduce: Which page you started on, what you clicked, what you entered
Screenshot or screen recording: A picture is worth a thousand words; short videos are even better for dynamic issues
Environment: Browser, operating system, screen size
